About the KLM Open

The KLM Open is part of the European Tour, the top professional golf circuit in Europe. In 2012 the tournament will be played for the 93nd time on Dutch soil, and the field of players is stronger than ever. In recent years, the prize money has increased to1.8 million euro, 300,000 of which goes to the winner. With 45,000 visitors, it is one of the most visited tournaments on the European Tour.

In 2012, for the ninth year in a row, KLM is the title sponsor of the tournament. In cooperation with partners Deloitte and ABN AMRO, the KLM Open has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious annual sporting events in the Netherlands.

Press

Journalists, reporters and photographers can submit an accreditation application in order to report form the tournament. To be eligible for a press accreditation, you must fulfil specific criteria.

Advice for the visitor

Turn off mobile telephones

It is extremely disruptive for the players if you make or receive calls on the course. Therefore, always make sure that your telephone is turned off on the course.

Wear good shoes

Depending on the weather, the course can be wet and slippery. For that reason, wear the proper shoes, for example golf shoes.

Photography is not permitted

It is extremely disruptive for the players if photos are taken on the course. Therefore it is not permitted for the public to take photographs. Only accredited official photographers may take photographs on the course.

Remain outside of the roped-off areas

The visitor is not permitted to walk on the course. So please remain outside of the roped-off areas that run along the holes and listen carefully to the marshals present when crossing the course.

First aid

There is a first aid station by the clubhouse of the Hilversum Golf Club and in the KLM Open Village.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed.
